Under the new CDM regulations 2015, notifiable demolition projects and projects with more than one contractor involved require the appointment of a
Principal Designer at the earliest stage of a project. The PD must have the relevant training, experience and expertise in demolition. IDS Ltd can provide the Principal Designer role specific to
demolition and provide the following legal duties.
- Guidance to the client on legal obligations and duties under CDM 2015
- Provide a Pre-Construction Information Pack to allow the demolition contractor to produce a Construction Phase Plan (CPP)
- Help with Notification of the project to the HSE.
- Develop and maintain the project health and safety file when applicable until the end of the project or until such time that this duty is passed to the
Principal Contractor.
